Who suffers with a little bit of OCD? I was at Disneyland with the family, and I was just snapping shots at random things. This is a shot next to the river in Adventureland. I started playing in Lightroom and/or Photoshop, cropped it, and I thought it looked great. Was about to post the pic in a forum I participate in, and this broken branch, twig, or whatever… just stuck out like a sore thumb. My OCD kicked in… and I opened the image in Photoshop to fix it.
I really have a bad case of OCD (Obsession Compulsive Disorder). It could be me parking a car, getting out to leave, knowing I’m just a little off between the lines. I won’t be able to stop thinking about it, so I get back in the car and re-park. Many times I’ll look at a picture, edit it thinking I’m done, the I see one little thing most people won’t notice. I just can’t let go until I fix it… or feel 100% satisfied. I guess that is a good thing, but I know it’s irritating to others.

What I learned and what I would do differently?
I should be more aware of what I’m shooting, and not focus on camera settings, and focus points… etc? I’m just glad we have tools like Photoshop to fix and manipulate our work. There are no limits on what you can do, and there is always something new to learn. Is it worth the time and effort to fix things that most people won’t even notice? Comment below, and let me know what you think.
