The picture above was shot with my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus.   I don’t have a studio, so I have rely on my Photoshop and Lightroom skills on Product shoots.

Why I bought a Sony A7riii

It all started when a co-worker wanted to take her Instagram to another level.  She had 600+ followers at the time, and she was able to get over 10,000 followers within 6 months.   She had a Canon Rebel T6, so we started experimenting in photo shoots, and I got to learn how to shoot in manual.   I already knew a lot about Photoshop doing a lot of phone mods creating widgets on iOS and Android.  Photography took my Photoshop skills to another level, with the addition of learning Lightroom.   Taking photos and being creative in Photoshop and Lightroom just gave me the bug to learn more.   I probably didn’t need a Sony A7riii, but I’ve always been the type to go big… or go home. LOL   I thought I could do more in Photoshop and Lightroom with the 42 megapixel sensor.  I can crop down on images more, and I wouldn’t limit myself to portrait shoots.

What I learned and what I would do differently?

With the equipment I have to today, this is the best I could do.  Maybe I’ll get an additional mirrorless camera, but my next project is making one of rooms in our house into a studio, and purchasing some studio lighting for indoor and on location shoots.
